TANGERINE TANGO, Pantones 'Colour of the Year' or, the colour 'orange' in general has done my Company well this past year. Projekt Home gives thanks and appreciation to the choice that Pantone put front and forward. It began with a Condo reno by Projekt Home designed previous to the selection to being 'Colour of the year'. Using orange backpainted glass, the kitchen splash made the 'point' or focal 'pop' of colour for the Space which Projekt Home rec'd 2 Awards for 'Kitchen Design' from the NKBA in Canada and was highlited on the 'Cover' of Toronto HOME Magazine in May 2012 (Bright as Brazil). Another successful project, was the refurbishment and design of a newbuild Condominium Penthouse in P.V. Mexico. The colour 'Orange' is wonderful combined with Limes, Fuschias, Cobalts all set in a 'base' of White and Dark wood accent furnishings. This was the 1st that Projekt Home dived into the use of orange and the freshness natural to it's identity. It won't be the last. Design: Decorating Tips for the Bathroom: As 'functional' as a Bathroom can be, this is generally the smallest room in the home. Use your space wisely...simplicity is the 'key', and when deciding to renovate or up-date, choose to go a 'professional route', in otherwords, as in a Kitchen renovation, hire someone with the proper qualifications to design and install it because the finished result has to last at least 10-15 years at a minimum. Be practicle with a budget and spend wisely, you'll thank yourself in the future.

If you have seen the size of living spaces today you soon realize how small future living quarters are becoming. More thought is needed in giving the ultimate workspaces to perform double duty for lifestyle choices and everyday living. Take a 'step back' and allow such a utilitarian area ie: Kitchen, transform into a simple and functional space to meet ALL the requirements within the home. A 'kitchen' is now an office, a bar, a homework center, a living space and... a kitchen. Kitchen Design Think Tank: Transformers - Kitchens in Disguise
Kitchen Design Think Tank: Transformers - Kitchens in Disguise: The architect and builder have provided you with a space, how are you going to define the space? Do you decide to create an intricate ar...

Love the use of subtle colouring and the textural feeling of the cabinet positioning or 'stepped' look'. This creates interest in a minimal setting which otherwise could be quite boring. The additional depth of the cabinets also allows for excess storage in one place. Fun and interesting, practicle and realistic, this kitchen has it's own place to that certain 'individual'.
Kitchen Design Think Tank: Kitchen Design Evolution! A New Beginning!: The search is on for a contemporary kitchen that will evolve past the flat expanses of uniform glossy panels; and that is why kitchen desi...

Getting back to the basics doesn't mean compromising in 'style' albeit NOT everyones 'cup of tea'. But it works and is practical especially when the 'McMansions' of the last decade are sooo out of favour. Kitchen Design Think Tank: WAR

KDS - Kitchen Design Supremacy - As with everything else in todays world of technology, society moves forward forever changing the way we live and conduct our lives. Kitchens are no different. In design we strip away and strip away to eliminate the distractions of the mundane. Open concept Houses and Condominium Highrise Lifestyles have become front and center in the Market Place. But generally speaking, we do NOT want the utilitarian parts of our lives exposed therefore multi-purpose areas are becoming the 'norm' in the design of Kitchens. The question of 'how' to hide and make these areas functional beyond the 'daily' use of preparing meals becomes the challenge. How far should we go? As displayed here, the beauty of the Island does double duty as a preparation area, a bar, a buffet, a lounging spot the list is endless, while backed up behind it the complimentory 'wall' which hides storage and 'machines'. This is good, but is it practicle? There are other ways to achieve this and still give this elegant 'look' so because I'm a practical guy, the direction I'd take would be different for the back wall but there is no denying......it is beautiful!
Kitchen Design Think Tank: KDS - Kitchen Design Supremacy: There is a simple purity to this design that disguises a cunning technological complexity. The designers have indulged our in...

In an open concept, it is best to keep the kitchen as 'airy' as possible to keep the work area minimal and unobtrusive. This will expand the entertainment activities and when designed well, the storage is accessible and also a feature to the living space. You now have a Utilitarian kitchen, a bar, and a buffet all in one, without the 'visual clutter'.
Kitchen Design Think Tank: Zero Gravity Feature of Fantasy: There are some interesting features in this design. Immediately the eye is drawn to an impressive cantilever which extends endlessly ac...
